I like to have fun with my hair and show it off. I don’t need my hair to grow at superhuman speeds if that means never rocking this bitch in public. This fro needs to be SEEN, okay?
I mean, seriously. I don’t want to die tomorrow and know that I never enjoyed my hair because I was so focused on getting it down to my asscrack and what not that it stayed under a wig or a scarf or in braids 24/7.
And when it does get past my asscrack, what then? Then I’m really going to be stuck putting it up all the time because there’s no way in hell I’m detangling/washing all that. And if it spends all those months and years put away, how would I ever know how to actually DEAL with it? I wouldn’t. And then it’d get cut off. so what would be the point?
For me it’s all about balance and enjoying learning and growing with it all.
This is the truth! I love my hair even if it get all tangled from rocking a wash and go for a few days. In the end, its worth it.

So I just measured my hair for shits and giggles and it is currently 7 inches long!
CRAZY! The last time I straightened it (back in Feb), it was 6 inches long. That means Im getting maximum growth of .5 inches a month. Sweet. Probably helped that it was in braids for a month too. I am going to put my braids back in next weekend. Figured I would have some fun with it for 2 weeks before I go back undercover.
Im so happy right now that my hair is growing and Im not completely harming it with of the neglectfulness Ive been doing.
Feels weird saying Im 16 months (and 8 days) natural.
